Curlee Girlee speaks with Michelle Mendoza on Live from Seattle!

Michelle Mendoza is the host of her own radio show in Seattle, Washington. It is one of the country’s largest radio markets.  Michelle Mendoza has a diverse background in communications, broadcasting and has been featured on many renowned media outlets like CNN, CBS Radio to name a few.  Michelle and I had such a great conversation on her radio show, Live from Seattle with Michelle Mendoza.  We talked about empowering our children, loving our curly hair and more!

Raising children today can seem more difficult than ever.  There are pressures to think, believe and behave in a certain way.  While I believe that has always been the case, with the advent of social media, pressures for children are at an all-time high.  Recently a digital supermodel debuted on social media bringing rise to many questions and concerns including “Is the new ideal of how women should look even further unattainable”?

Michelle Mendoza and I were able to discuss many of these issues. Talking about embracing our curly hair, not just for my own child but for curly-haired children everywhere, is really what Curlee Girlee is all about! Empowering ourselves and our daughters will ensure they become the women and the leaders they are intended to be.

We were so happy to be able to talk about all these really important issues.  Michelle Mendoza is lively, interesting, fun and funny. Here at Curlee Girlee, we will continue our mission of changing the “coarse” of curly hair and more!  Join us in that conversation and Listen to our radio interview NOW!
