Bouncy curls have a zig-zaggy Z shape, however curls are not well-defined, and hair is described as “fluffy.” This type experiences a lot of shrinkage, so it will appear shorted than it truly is, and can be stretched to retain some length. Because of the shape of the strands, it is hard for natural oils and moisture to reach the ends, which causes this hair to need a lot of care and moisture.
