Curly Girl from Dubai has Wavy 2C Hair!

My name is Lamar. I’m a 3.5 years old Lebanese girl living in Dubai. Currently, I’m being homeschooled with my mom. I love baking and crafting activities. Within my limited screen time, I love to watch Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig. I also love dancing and singing all the time. My curl type is 2C hair which is the deep waves (or defined waves). But surprisingly no one in my family has a similar hair type.

My mom loves taking care of my hair. She searched and read many articles about curly hair until she discovered the CGM (curly girl method). So she has been applying the basic steps of this method for me for almost 1.5 years. This method requires washing hair with a non-sulfate shampoo, then applying a conditioner that is silicone-free. Mommy detangles my hair when it is wet (never when it is dried) using a wide-tooth detangling comb(maximum 2 times per week wash/condition). After that, she applies a leave-in conditioner and covers my hair with a microfiber towel (plopping). And every other day, if it is not a washing day, she applies a refreshing spray or conditioning detangler without brushing it (just scrunching). Usually at night before sleeping, mommy makes me the pineapple ponytail (loose bun), so that my curls won’t flatten during sleep and to minimize frizz. I do recommend this method for all curly-haired girls.

Concerning my style, I love comfy and sporty styles in general. But I do also love wearing dresses and skirts especially when it is show time (for singing and dancing). I hate wearing jackets and winter clothes. Thank god where I live there is not much cold!
