What Curly Girls are Thankful for Thanksgiving 2020

This has been a challenging year and much is not going as expected.  It can be hard to explain to our children that being thankful is actually most important in difficult times. Remembering the good and appreciating what we have goes a long way to staying positive and remembering the good things in life. Writing a daily gratitude journal is a wonderful habit to get into and even young children will enjoy the routine of remembering the good in their day.

The holidays are a time for family, love, and appreciation, and this year, it is important to think about what we all have to be thankful for. Even though we will not be able to spend this Thanksgiving visiting relatives and may have to miss out on some family traditions because of that, Thanksgiving 2020 is a time we should all take a pause and appreciate what we do have and the family that is already around us. After this year in quarantine, take some time to tell your family members you appreciate them, and discuss what good things have happened this year and what you are thankful for. Let’s make this less than great situation into a memorable holiday regardless!

On this Thanksgiving we asked a few of our Brand Ambassadors to tell us what they are thankful for. I will start with Ari below!  Feel free to submit what you may be thankful for on Thanksgiving or any day!

I am thankful for my friends in school.  Even though I am in a pod and I only see 10 of my friends every day I am still so happy to have my friends around.  I know many of my out-of-school friends are having online school so every day that my school is in person I am so happy. I am also thankful for my mom and dad who work so hard to make everything fun for me and my sister and brother and especially for my mom who drives me to school every day.  I used to take the bus but now she drives me and my brother every morning and it is so fun to talk to her about the start of my day.  I am thankful for being able to hang out together on Thanksgiving even though we are not with our cousins.  I am also thankful that everyone I know is healthy, and I hope we can all stay that way.

I’m most grateful for my friends, my first wiggly tooth, and my mommy and daddy!

I am grateful for everything I have, especially my family, this year in 2020.

I am grateful for my family, especially my mummy and daddy as well as my friends. I also love and am thankful for Curlee Girlee so much!
