How Zhuri-Imani chooses to wear her hair depends on the outfit that she wears that day but her hair is mainly up in a ponytail or in two ponytails.

Combine these products into a spray bottle and use daily ( coconut oil, leave-in conditioner, any curly hair product) shake together and spray on hair daily. However, it is important to acknowledge that everybody’s hair is different, so not every product will work the same for everyone. That being said, you can find the right hair product that works best for your child by first finding out what your curly hair type is. You can then google which type of hair products work best for your hair type. We actually wrote an article about the 5 best natural products for curly hair that you can check out.

7) What do you wash and condition your hair with? How often?

Zhuri-Imani’s mom says that she is in the middle of switching to a hair product but right now she uses a dry scalp product since her daughter has a dry scalp.

8) How often do you wash your hair and why?

Zhuri-Imani’s mom says that she likes to wash her daughter’s hair once or twice a week.

9) Are you a morning hair washer or an evening washer, why?

Zhuri-Imani’s mom says that her daughter is a morning hair washer, just because it is more convenient for her.

10) If you do your hair at night and sleep on it, what do you do in the morning? Any tips for making the style last overnight?

Although Zhuri-Imani’s mom didn’t mention any tips to help make your hairstyle last overnight, there are a couple ways that you can maintain your curls. One of these ways is to place your child’s hair in a hair bonnet, more specifically a silk hair bonnet as it has been proven to be softer on your child’s hair. Another way to keep your child’s hair curly overnight is to braid them after washing so that the hair will stay in place when they sleep.

11) Has curly hair impacted your child and her self-image, please provide details on her “hair journey”.  Did she always love her hair or was it something that happened over time?

Zhuri-Imani’s mom says that everyone loves her daughter’s hair! She says that she has always wished her daughter had her hair and that she is glad she does as a reflection of a young black queen she will be!
